“The chicks are ready for pickup”.
This was the voice I heard on the other end of the phone coming from the teacher of my 6- year old.
“Yes, your son told me that you lived on a farm and you would be happy to take our baby chicks that have hatched”.
I am a mother of 3….so what do I do? I found a box and went to the school to gather all the chicks.
Thus, began our journey. What started with 16 baby chicks has turned into a family passion of learning and loving life on the farm. From gathering organic, farm fresh eggs to birthing baby goats, lambs and Alpaca, each day is an adventure.
Perch Farm sits on 40 acres of beautifully wooded land. We are a family owned working farm breeding Tennessee Walking Horses, Newfoundlands, Alpaca, Nigerian and Boer goats, Cormo sheep and Holland Lops.
