Cormo Sheep

about their breed

Cormo sheep were developed in the earlier part of the 1960's in Tasmania, Australia. This line of sheep was created by crossing Cormo rams of the Corriedale breed with Superfine Saxon Merinos. The name Cormo is from the names of two of the parent breeds, Corriedale and Merino. Cormos are know for their clean fleece weight, fiber diameter of 17-23 micron range, fast body growth and high fertility.

our herd

Our sheep are well cared for and while it takes hard work, there is nothing more rewarding than walking outside to see their furry bodies excitedly approaching you. Their wool is dense and soft to the touch. Our goal is to produce animals and products that we can be proud of.
